Black Creek to Provide the Security Control System for Monroe Co. Public Safety Building 3rd Floor Renovation

Monroe County, NY, has selected Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. to deliver the security controls for the renovation of the 3rd Floor at the Monroe County Public Safety Building in Rochester, NY. Black Creek has maintained a trusted partnership with the 1,150-bed facility since 2000, when its advanced physical security control system was first implemented by the County.

This renovation encompasses the selective demolition of existing partitions and finishes, upgrades to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing distribution systems, and targeted abatement of asbestos-containing materials. The project’s new construction phase calls for updated partitions and finishes, millwork, new door frames and detention-grade hardware, distribution and installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and equipment, a new fire protection system, electronic security equipment, and detention-grade systems throughout.

Within this scope, Black Creek will extend its integrated security control system into the newly renovated 3rd floor secured detention area, thereby enabling centralized control and annunciation of doors, intercoms, duress alarms, surveillance cameras, and additional security devices essential for maintaining a secure detention perimeter in the Public Safety Building.
