Black Creek Integrated Systems has been awarded a contract to upgrade the existing Black Creek Super Display® Touchscreen Security System at the Broome County Correctional Facility and integrate it with a new Milestone CCTV video management system. Broome County has relied on Black Creek security technology in its Jail and Court facilities since 1995.
As part of the project, Black Creek will replace 18 existing touchscreen control stations with the latest version running on Windows® 10 and Black Creek’s newest control software. The upgrade also includes new server computers and a secure, high-speed VPN appliance for remote diagnostics and Internet-based support. In addition, administrative workstations for the Card Access Control and Watch Tour Manager systems will be replaced with new computers running the latest software.
The upgraded system will be fully integrated with the County’s new Milestone Video Management System, being implemented by Siemens under a separate contract. Siemens will also replace existing analog cameras with new Axis IP cameras. The Milestone platform, which replaces the End-of-Life Vicon system, is being standardized across all County buildings.
The new Black Creek Super Display® Touchscreen System enhances safety and operational efficiency by giving officers a more powerful and user-friendly interface. Each station features HD LCD monitors that provide a unified view of all security controls along with live video. Staff can easily select camera views, control utilities, and manage facility systems. The upgrade will reduce maintenance costs, improve staff efficiency, and strengthen the overall safety of staff, visitors, and inmates.
