Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp., a premier provider of correctional facility security technology, has been awarded a contract to upgrade the existing Black Creek Super Display® Touchscreen Security System at the Cayuga County Jail, located within the Public Safety Building in Auburn, NY. This medium-security facility, operated by the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office, houses inmates from the county, nearby municipalities, the U.S. Marshal's Service, and the Auburn Police Department.
This latest project builds on a long-standing partnership with Cayuga County, which first implemented Black Creek’s SallyPort© Jail/Inmate Management System in 2008 and deployed the Super Display® touchscreen-based security system in 2013. Under the new contract, Black Creek will replace all existing touchscreen control stations with the latest hardware and software, utilizing the Windows® 10 operating system and the newest Black Creek control platform. The modernization also includes new server computers and the implementation of a secure, high-speed VPN appliance to enable remote diagnostics and technical support.
As part of the facility-wide enhancement, Black Creek will replace the jail’s End-of-Life Vicon CCTV video management system with a state-of-the-art Bosch Video Recording and Management System. New encoders and infrastructure will be installed, establishing a pathway for phased replacement of analog cameras with high-definition IP cameras—scheduled to ensure minimal disruption to daily jail operations.
The upgraded Super Display® system will significantly improve safety and operational efficiency for staff, inmates, and visitors. Each touchscreen station will feature HD LCD displays, comprehensive security controls, and live CCTV feeds, empowering officers to easily manage facility utilities, access multiple camera views, and respond swiftly to security events. The updated platform is designed to reduce ongoing maintenance costs and maximize staff productivity.
