The City of Alexandria, VA,  to Implement Black Creek's SallyPort^©VA Jail Management System

Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. has been chosen to deliver the SallyPort©VA Jail Management System, replacing the current jail management component of Alexandria’s Justice Information System. The City of Alexandria will implement Black Creek’s SallyPort©VA JMS to manage inmate data for both the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office and the Alexandria Police Department. Seamless interfaces will be established with select systems used by the Alexandria Department of Information Technology Services, the Office of the Circuit Court Clerk, the Commonwealth’s Attorney, and the Circuit Court Judges’ offices. The SallyPort©VA Jail Management System will be integrated with a new Warrants and Prosecutor System from another vendor, modernizing processes and replacing technology that has served the City for two decades.

SallyPort© is a secure, browser-based jail management platform engineered for efficient and comprehensive inmate records management. Core system features include customizable workflow and queue management, digital mugshot capture, inmate screening and classification, automated inmate time computation, property tracking and transactions, scheduling capabilities, facility accounting, robust standard and ad-hoc reporting, medical management, extensive audit functionality, threat group assessment, intra-agency messaging, and an electronic shift log to enhance operational documentation. For the City of Alexandria, additional integrations will enable connectivity with the agency’s court and case records management system, provide a Livescan fingerprinting interface, deliver automated victim notification through VINE integration, facilitate communications with the inmate phone system, and support law enforcement data exchanges via the VCIN/NCIC system.
