Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. has been selected to supply our SallyPort©IL Jail Management System to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office for the management of inmate data at the Winnebago County Jail in Rockford, IL. This medium-security facility accommodates up to 1,212 beds, with an average daily population of 870 inmates and handling approximately 210 new bookings each month. The jail typically houses individuals for up to two years as they await trial or sentencing and also serves surrounding municipalities, the US Marshal’s Service, and the Rockford Police Department by providing housing for inmates from agencies without dedicated long-term detention resources.
SallyPort©IL is a browser-based jail management platform designed to streamline and secure inmate records management with advanced features such as individualized work queues, workflow automation, digital mugshot capture, comprehensive inmate screening and classification, automated time computation, property inventory management, robust scheduling modules, facility account management, standard and ad-hoc reporting, a dedicated medical module, detailed audit capabilities, threat group assessments, intra-agency messaging, and an electronic shift log to replace traditional paper logs. For Winnebago County, the system will be integrated with the Livescan fingerprint system, the VINE service for victim notifications associated with inmate releases, the facility’s inmate phone and commissary systems, the NCIC database for warrants and criminal history, the electronic medical records system, and the County’s law enforcement records management system.
As part of the SallyPort©IL implementation, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office will also deploy Black Creek’s Watch Tour Manager®, a leading correctional wellness check and guard tour solution. Fully integrated with SallyPort©IL, Watch Tour Manager® enables management to ensure compliance with facility tour requirements, with officers able to conduct tours, capture images and videos, document notes, and receive alerts via secure mobile devices.
