Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. has been selected to implement its SallyPort©LA Jail Management System (JMS) as the new jail management solution for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office (JPSO; Harvey, LA). The SallyPort©LA JMS will centralize the management of inmate data for the Jefferson Parish Correctional Facility (Gretna, LA), the Kenner Police Department Jail (Kenner, LA), and additional local law enforcement agencies. Furthermore, it will enable streamlined management of juvenile detainee information for the JPSO. Integration with key agency systems will be delivered, including connections to Livescan fingerprinting, the Appriss VINE database for automated victim notifications regarding inmate releases, and facility inmate services such as phone, commissary, and electronic medical records systems. To ensure continuity of records, legacy data from the current jail management system will be migrated into the new SallyPort©LA JMS, preserving inmate history and reporting capabilities.
SallyPort© is a state-compliant, enterprise-grade, browser-based jail management system designed to drive operational efficiency for agencies through robust, state-specific features. Key functionalities include My Queues and workflow automation, digital mugshot capture, inmate intake screening and classification, inmate time computation, comprehensive inventory and property management, dynamic scheduling, facility accounting, flexible reporting (standard and ad-hoc), a medical module, advanced audit trails, threat group assessments, and intra-agency messaging capabilities. The system’s integrated Electronic Shift Log will immediately replace the JPSO’s legacy paper-based logging process. In addition, the SallyPort© Watch Tour Manager® plug-in will be deployed to enhance documentation and oversight of guard rounds and inmate welfare checks.
