Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. has secured a contract with Saratoga County, NY, to modernize the physical security control and CCTV systems at the Saratoga County Correctional Facility (Ballston Spa, NY). Previously, Black Creek implemented the facility’s current control system in 2016, utilizing the latest technology available at that time for the 243-bed site.
Under the new contract, Black Creek will upgrade all existing touchscreen control stations to new workstations equipped with the latest supported Windows® operating system and the most recent release of Super Display® touchscreen control software. The project scope includes providing and installing advanced security server computers, updated network switches, and a secure, high-speed VPN appliance to facilitate remote diagnostics and support. In addition, Black Creek will enhance operational mobility by equipping the County with updated tablet-based control functionality, enabling staff to efficiently manage security operations during direct inmate supervision.
The facility’s legacy CCTV video management system will be replaced with an advanced Bosch Video Recording and Management System. As part of this upgrade, Black Creek will supply and install new high-definition IP cameras and robust network infrastructure to ensure comprehensive facility visibility for security and control purposes.
These upgrades will deliver enhanced safety and operational efficiency for staff and visitors through advanced features not available in the current system. Each Super Display® touchscreen station will offer one or two LCD monitors that consolidate the facility’s security controls and provide integrated CCTV camera call-up and video display capabilities. Officers will be able to seamlessly select camera views, manage facility utilities, and perform essential functions with greater ease. The system upgrade is designed to simplify security operations, reduce maintenance costs, and increase staff productivity.
