Black Creek Welcomes New Employees: January-June 2024

Black Creek is pleased to announce that the following employees joined the company in the first half of 2024:
Johnny Newman joined Black Creek in March 2024 as the Technical Lead for our Citadel® Records Management System. Johnny brings 29 years’ experience as a full-stack developer and team lead to our staff and is responsible for solutions architecture, feature development, and product maintenance and delivery. As for all RMS providers, Johnny’s goal with Black Creek’s Citadel® RMS is to minimize the effort and maximize the accuracy of reporting so that law enforcement agencies can keep boots on the ground and do what they do best – we look forward to seeing what Johnny brings to the Citadel® development team!
Charles Cook joined Black Creek in April 2024 as a Product Support Specialist. In this role, Charles is responsible for addressing and resolving customer issues with the SallyPort© Jail Management System. Charles graduated from The University of Alabama in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems. The program equipped Charles with comprehensive knowledge in troubleshooting, analytical skills, and various other competencies essential for a successful career in IT support and management. Welcome, Charles!
Andrew Dawson joined Black Creek in April 2024 as a Programmer for the SallyPort© Jail Management System. Andrew’s focus is to provide assistance with software support and to perform software quality assurance, with additional duties as required. Andrew graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Business Analytics. Having honed his programming and analytic skills through a range of diverse projects, Andrew is poised to make an immediate impact on our projects. Welcome, Andrew!
Jon Thomas joined Black Creek in June 2024 as our new Construction Project Manager. Jon joins our team with a bachelor’s degree in building science from Auburn University and a solid background in general contracting project management. Jon will work closely with Black Creek’s Engineering Division on integrated security control system projects. Jon’s wealth of expertise in construction and project management will serve him well as he focuses on optimizing the project delivery processes and ensuring the successful execution of construction projects for our clients. We are sure our Integrated Security Controls clients will enjoy working with Jon!
