The Board of Directors for Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. is pleased to announce the promotion of Thomas H. Lanphear from General Sales Manager to Executive Vice President over Sales & Marketing, effective May 1, 2024. Prior to joining Black Creek in 2017, Thom logged over 20 years of management experience at the Columbia County Jail in upstate New York, where he simultaneously served as Chief Corrections Officer holding the rank of Captain, Director of Information Technology, and the Emergency Management Liaison for EMA. As a Black Creek customer, Thom consulted in the development of Black Creek’s enterprise-class SallyPort© Jail Management System to provide real-world guidance in best practices and to help assure the needs of the correctional staff using the application were being met.
Following his retirement there, Thom joined Black Creek first as a software salesman, then as the Sales Manager for our Criminal Justice Application Group Software and then as General Sales Manager, where his knowledge of both corrections and information technology has served him well. Under his direction, Black Creek has seen sales revenue increase by 12% over the last 5 years. Thom has been actively involved in the ongoing evolution of the SallyPort© JMS and in the development of Black Creek’s new Citadel® Records Management System. Thom’s vision for the synergistic nature of these two software solutions helps to drive the development roadmap for each, and his hands-on experience in the field provides invaluable insight to Black Creek’s software engineers. Black Creek expects to capitalize on Thom’s extensive background in corrections/public safety and his business development skills to lead Black Creek’s Sales & Marketing team into a new era of profitability and growth in the Corrections & Public Safety industry.
