Wayne County, NY, Expands its Existing Black Creek Integrated Security Control System

Wayne County, NY has authorized a project to enhance the interior spaces of the existing Wayne County Jail in Lyons, NY, focusing on the elevator sallyport and Jail Lobby areas. The scope of work includes replacing select commercial-grade interior doors and hardware with specialized detention-grade components, as well as making modifications or additions to masonry walls, detention and acoustical ceilings, detention barriers, and integrating updates to electrical, detention, and security equipment and systems. In conjunction with these upgrades, Black Creek will expand the Jail's Super Display® physical security control system, to seamlessly incorporate the new facility modifications. Black Creek has been a trusted partner to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office since 2011, following the installation of the Sallyport© Jail Management System.

As part of the current project, Black Creek will supply new detention-grade intercoms for installation by the Electrical Contractor and will deliver programming and commissioning services to integrate the new controlled and monitored doors, intercoms, and CCTV cameras into the existing Super Display® touchscreen control system. These enhancements will further empower Central Control personnel to efficiently monitor and manage access and movement throughout the elevator sallyport and Jail Lobby, reinforcing the safety and security of the facility.
