Black Creek President Ike Newton Announces Retirement

Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. announces the retirement of Ike Newton, Company President, effective May 1, 2024. His retirement is our loss but a well-deserved respite for Ike after serving as Company President for Black Creek’s entire existence. Ike founded Black Creek Engineering in 1978, incorporated Black Creek in 1989, and has been integral to Black Creek’s success – largely as a result of his ability to conceptualize ideas and guide staff in creating practical, effective solutions, Black Creek has become known for the application of new technologies in the corrections/public safety environment. His dedication to the company and to the industry is unparalleled, and Black Creek is indebted to Ike’s vision and commitment for propelling us to our present position as an industry leader.

Ike is passing the torch to a dedicated team who trained under his tutelage and plans to continue guiding Black Creek as creative innovators and strong supporters of the corrections/public safety industry. He will continue to serve on the Board of Directors for Black Creek to lend his wisdom and experience to new management in steering our future growth and development. Ike plans to spend his time working with the St. Clair County Airport (Pell City, AL) and will continue flying small aircraft while securing his helicopter pilot license. Additionally, Ike enjoys dogs and has helped foster a number of strays that have been abandoned at the airport.
