Black Creek Awarded Contract to Provide Integrated Security Control System at the San Diego Co., CA, George Bailey Detention Facility

Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. has secured a subcontract exceeding $5 million from Sundt Construction, Inc. to deliver specialized components and intelligence for the integrated security control system at the San Diego County George F. Bailey Detention Facility. Sundt Construction serves as the General Contractor and Construction Manager for the facility’s broader renovation project. This engagement follows Black Creek’s previous selection under a major contract to design, implement, and provide ongoing maintenance for physical security control systems across multiple San Diego County Sheriff’s Office correctional facilities.

Under a separate project with Randall Lamb Associates, Inc., an architecture and engineering firm, Black Creek initially designed the Super Display® Touchscreen System for installation at the George F. Bailey Detention Facility (1,380 beds). The current subcontract with Sundt Construction calls for Black Creek to furnish replacement hardware and human-machine interface (HMI) software for the facility’s locking, intercom, CCTV, and card access systems.

Since 2012, Black Creek has partnered with San Diego County to implement advanced touchscreen systems in facilities including the San Diego Central Jail, East Mesa Reentry Facility, East Mesa Juvenile Detention Facility, Rock Mountain Detention Facility (formerly Facility 8), and Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility. Additionally, Black Creek provides dedicated full-time technical support for the ongoing service and maintenance of all installed security control systems countywide.
