May 1, 2025 – The Suffolk County, NY, Sheriff’s Office has selected Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. to expand the existing Close Circuit Television System (CCTV) at the Riverhead Correctional Facility. Black Creek has worked with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office since 2009 to provide integrated security control systems and the inmate management system for both the 840 bed Riverhead Correctional facility and the 976 bed Yaphank Correctional Facility.

For this latest project, Black Creek will add new cameras to existing outdoor recreational areas at the Riverhead Correctional Facility and will integrate these new cameras into the existing Black Creek Super Display^® integrated security control system and Genetec Omnicast™ Video Recording and Management System. Black Creek recommended a mix of 360° cameras (12MP video quality), dual-lens cameras (5MP), standard fixed dome cameras (5MP), and PTZ cameras (4K) to maximize video coverage, reduce or eliminate blind spots, and enhance visibility in poor lighting situations. The addition of these cameras will improve the safety of detainees and staff by providing enhanced video coverage not available with the existing camera layout.
