Birmingham, AL – January 13, 2017 – Black Creek has completed an upgrade to the existing Black Creek Touchscreen CCTV Digital Video System at Chemung County Jail located in Elmira, New York. The 264-bed facility has been working with Black Creek since 1993.

The upgrade involved removing outdated network video recorders, computers, and digital video workstations. Black Creek furnished and installed a total of four Super Display^® Touchscreen consoles, three digital video master review workstations, digital video encoder, network video recording system, and more. Black Creek updated the programmable logic controllers (PLCs) which were also integrated into the touchscreen system.

Each Super Display^® Touchscreen station features LCD monitors that display all the facility’s security controls and a CCTV camera call-up and video display. An officer can easily select different camera viewpoints, control facility utilities, and more. The system provides agencies with a modern solution that incorporates all aspects of correctional facility physical security into a single, fully integrated package.

Black Creek’s recording systems extend the "eyes" of control room officers. Existing or new security cameras are set up in user-configurable display formats on Black Creek’s high-resolution LCD touchscreen monitors and can be accessed over the internet by authorized users. All CCTV feeds are recorded 24/7 for a timespan determined by the facility. Authorized personnel can burn footage to DVD with tamper-revealing security for evidentiary purposes.
