Broome Co. Awards Black Creek Contract to Upgrade CCTV and Touchscreen Control System at Family Courthouse

Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. has been selected to upgrade the existing Super Display® Touchscreen Security Control System at the Broome County Family Courts, situated within the Public Safety Complex in Binghamton, New York. Since 1995, Broome County has relied on Black Creek’s integrated security solutions for both its Jail and Court facilities.

The project encompasses the replacement of the current touchscreen control station with the latest model, featuring the Windows® 10 operating system and Black Creek’s most advanced touchscreen control software. This upgrade includes the provision and installation of new server hardware and a secure, high-speed VPN appliance to facilitate remote diagnostics and support. Additionally, the project will modernize the facility’s video management capabilities by replacing the end-of-life Vicon CCTV system with a state-of-the-art Bosch Video Recording and Management System. To enable digital archiving of existing analog video feeds, new encoders will also be installed. The card access control administrative workstation will be upgraded with a new computer running the latest access control software.

With the implementation of the new Black Creek system, staff and visitor safety will be enhanced through expanded system functionality. Each Super Display® Touchscreen station incorporates HD LCD monitors that centralize the facility’s security controls, allowing for dynamic CCTV camera control, facility utility management, and more. This upgrade streamlines security operations, improves staff efficiency, and reduces ongoing maintenance costs for Broome County.
