Steuben Co. Awards Black Creek Contract to Upgrade Integrated Security Control System at Jail

Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. has been selected to upgrade the existing touchscreen control and video surveillance systems at Steuben County Jail in Bath, New York. Since 2015, the facility’s 262 beds have been secured utilizing the Black Creek Super Display® Touchscreen System.

This comprehensive upgrade encompasses replacement of four touchscreen control consoles with new Windows® 10-compatible workstations, enhancement of the CCTV infrastructure with the latest Bosch Video Recording & Management System—enabling 30 days of online video storage—and the addition of advanced digital video workstations along with supporting equipment.

Each Super Display® Touchscreen station is equipped with a 32” LCD monitor that delivers integrated visibility of all security controls and real-time CCTV feeds. These workstations empower officers to seamlessly manage camera views, facility utilities, and other essential functions—providing a centralized, modernized approach to correctional facility security.

Black Creek’s recording solutions extend the situational awareness of control room staff, enabling both existing and new security cameras to be configured in customizable display formats via high-resolution LCD touchscreens. Remote access for authorized personnel and continuous 24/7 video recording are core features, with footage exportable to DVD and protected by tamper-evident security measures for evidentiary integrity.

The planned system upgrade is designed to simplify security management, lower maintenance expenses, and enhance operational efficiency, all while reinforcing the safety of personnel and visitors within the facility.
