Birmingham, AL – January 11, 2021 – Black Creek has been awarded a contract to upgrade the current Black Creek touchscreen control system and closed circuit television (CCTV) system at the Steuben County Jail located in Bath, New York. The existing Black Creek Super Display^® Touchscreen System has been in use at the 262-bed facility since 2015.

The scope of work will include the replacement of four touchscreen control consoles with new Windows^® 10-compatible workstations, upgrade of the CCTV system to the latest Bosch Video Recording & Management System to provide 30 days of online video storage, new digital video workstations, and other necessary equipment.

Each Super Display^® Touchscreen station features a 32” LCD monitor that displays all the facility’s security controls and a CCTV camera call-up and video display. An officer can easily select different camera viewpoints, control facility utilities, and more. The system provides agencies with a modern solution that incorporates all aspects of correctional facility physical security into a single, fully integrated package.

Black Creek’s recording systems extend the “eyes” of control room officers. Existing or new security cameras are set up in user-configurable display formats on Black Creek’s high-resolution LCD touchscreen monitors and can be accessed over the internet by authorized users. All CCTV feeds are recorded 24/7 for a timespan determined by the facility. Authorized personnel can burn footage to DVD with tamper-revealing security for evidentiary purposes.

The system upgrade will make security control easier and save the facility money by decreasing maintenance costs and increasing staff efficiency while maximizing the safety of visitors and staff.
