Birmingham, AL – August 15, 2019 – Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. has been awarded a contract to furnish its Super Display^® Touchscreen Security System for locking control at the 944-bed Passaic County Jail in Paterson, New Jersey. The existing Graphic Panel controls were installed approximately 35 years ago and do not integrate with the facility’s CCTV system, as the new Black Creek Locking System will.

The scope of the work includes furnishing a new locking control system with two dual monitor Super Display^® touchscreen stations in Main Control and Basement Control. New equipment cabinets with new GE Programmable Logic Controllers and associated terminal blocks, control relays, and Gigabit Ethernet switches will be provided. This new equipment will allow the County to replace existing graphic control panels in the Main, 2-Main, 3-Main, 4-Main, Basement, 2-Grand, 3-Grand, 4 Grand, and 4-Marshall control rooms with touchscreen control stations located at Main Control and Basement Control rooms, thereby reducing the staff needed to control the facility. The project also includes an interface to the existing Bosch CCTV system provided by others to allow call-up and display of video from Jail cameras onto the Black Creek touchscreen control stations in the Main and Basement control locations.

The new system will make security control more efficient and save the facility money by decreasing maintenance costs and increasing staff productivity. Safety of visitors and staff will also greatly improve. Each Super Display^® Touchscreen station will feature up to two large-format LCD monitors that integrate all the facility’s security controls and a user customizable CCTV camera call-up and video display. An officer can easily select different camera viewpoints, control facility utilities, and more, for fast and intuitive security management.
